i believe that meaningful Change starts with compassion โ€” and i'm so glad You're here.

A woman with long dark hair sitting on a modern beige armchair in a white room, smiling, wearing a light beige sweater and white pants.

I began my nursing career in the Emergency Department in early 2024, where I developed a deep appreciation for the resilience of the human soul and the importance of compassionate care. While I've always enjoyed the dynamic nature of emergency medicine, my passion for mental health inspired me to pursue a career in nurse psychotherapy.

My goal as a nurse psychotherapist is to help people find genuine happiness and fulfillment in their work, relationships, and everyday life. With a foundation in nursing and additional training in psychotherapy, I integrate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help clients evaluate, plan, and refine their lives with purpose and confidence.

I believe that meaningful change begins with understandingโ€”and I'm here to guide and support you through that process.

my story

I'm a small-town girl from Kincardine, Ontario, and I love returning there whenever I can to spend time with my family and soak in the beautiful beaches and lakeside views. My roots in a close-knit community have shaped the caring and grounded approach I bring to my work and everyday life.

In my spare time, I volunteer for an animal rescue called Bark at the Moon (BATM) based in London, Ontario. I love this role because I get to work with fosters and adopters to ensure they feel confident and safe bringing a new dog into their home. Plus, who doesn't love helping dogs!

my roots

I graduated from nursing school at the University of Windsor in early 2024, and began right away in the Emergency Department at a Level 1 Trauma Center and Schedule 1 Mental Health Facility. My nursing experience has taught me resilience, compassionate care, and the power of being present for people during vulnerable times.

Alongside this, I trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) through Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. I bring tools from this course to use a solution-focused, goal-oriented approach to therapy, helping my clients navigate life with clarity and confidence.

I am currently enrolled as a student in the Master of Arts in Mental Health program at the University of Guelph, graduating in 2027.

My approach to Therapy

I use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) as the foundation of my work.

Here's how it comes to life in our sessions:

We evaluate your current thought patterns to see if they help or hinder your goals. This happens during the consultation and initial assessment.

We collaborate on reshaping thought patterns and coping mechanisms tailored to your lifestyle. This ongoing process helps you meet your goals.

plan

We learn how to continually refine everything we have uncovered together. Think of this as your new beginning.
